Battery Construction
There are 2 separate batteries. Each battery contains 8 modules. Each module is 24 volts (20 to 24.9 operating range) Modules are paired in series to achieve 48 volt operating voltage. Tesla has BMS on each module which monitors temperature and voltage of each individual cell.
Battery Cooling
Tesla modules are liquid cooled. All cooling loops were connected but experience has shown that charging and discharge rates are low enough not to require cooling.
